Introduction

The PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor enables models from Smart 3D projects to be converted for various uses. The PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor works with the PlantSight Open 3D Model Bridge to convert models for PlantSight onto the iModelHub as well as for file based conversion to dgn, i.dgn and .imodels.

Note: The PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor creates one i-model for each filter specified in the job. Jobs should not be configured to convert entire Smart 3D projects into i-models.

Note: The PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor requires a license, and should be installed on a computer with access to a Smart 3D installation or alternatively an SQL or Oracle database installation that can be used to restore backups of a Smart 3D database.

Have a minimum of 100 GB free disk space.
Make sure the account you use to install PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor has "log on as a service" rights on this computer.
Install the PlantSight Smart 3D Bridge Extractor.
